In Osttirol, nahe dem Dorf Stronach, liegt der Ederhof. Die Kinder und Jugendlichen, die hier zu Gast sind, haben eines gemeinsam: Sie warten auf eine Organtransplantation oder sie haben gerade eine hinter sich. Der Film porträtiert Kinder, die in der Medizinischen Hochschule Hannover auf der Dringlichkeitsliste stehen. Er zeigt ihre Nöte und Ängste, die schwere Operation und den Versuch, sie auf dem Ederhof an ein anderes, ‘gesünderes’ Leben heranzuführen.

In East Tyrol, close to the village of Stronach, lies the ”Ederhof”. The children and youngsters living here as guests have one thing in common: they are waiting for an organ transplant or have just undergone an organ transplant operation. The film deals with children on the emergency list of the Hanover University Hospital. The film portrays their desperation and fears, the difficult operation and the attempt to accustom them to a different, ‘healthier’ life on the ”Ederhof.”
