(Katja Baumgarten) “Ultrasonic examination - diagnosis: ‘complex defect syndrome in the 21st week of pregnancy, suspected chromosome anomaly. In view of the sum of all defects in different organ systems, the prognosis must be described as being very poor.’ ‘You must decide!’, the specialist in prenatal diagnostics tells me. The autobiographical documentary is devoted to the life, birth and taking leave of my little son, Martin Tim, the personal questions and developments arising from a confrontation with the tragic diagnosis and the sudden demands placed on me to decide on the duration of the life and the conditions of the death of one of my children.” (Katja Baumgarten) Vorführung: Sonntag, 11.3.2001, 20.00 Uhr, Kino im Künstlerhaus |
